Character: Firo Prochainezo • Baccano! •
Personality: Just your friendly neighborhood gangster with an approachable exterior, horrendous anger issues, and crippling insecurities. He's not the brightest guy, but he'll happily chat with just about anyone and isn't shy about bothering a total stranger. It doesn't take much to make him angry, though, and he's pretty destructive when he is. Get on his good side, and you have a friend for life.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: The tree house he lives in with Rey and Muscovy, any central areas of camp, and the outskirts of the jungle
What have they been doing with their time? He's been mostly doing the usual hanging out with friends and poking around for building materials
Current people they hang out with: He lives with Rey and Muscovy, who were just taking care of Algidus. He's friends with Tadashi and has been getting to know AJ better.
Looking for: I'd like for him to build up his friend circle, particularly with other criminals or with those who may be a bit more on the moral side than he is. He's always looking for more poker or sparring buddies--he's happy to teach as well, especially if he can trade that for some wilderness knowledge. I'm also good for negative CR--people to challenge him would be great.
Any future plans for them? He'll be exploring with his little family sometime in February and getting into a scrap with Algidus.
Anything else:
- he was on recon and is always up to talk about that weirdness. Same for the salvage mission with comms
-he's immortal! And kind of a show off about it, so it can easily be arranged if someone wants to see him bleed in reverse
-he's a camorrista (gangster) back home and pretty open about it (as well as his grudges against the feds and cops)
-he's from 1934, so confusion about the future is always welcome

Character: Algidus • Killer Instinct/Box CRAU •
Personality: Algidus has a rather cold exterior, as he has suffered greatly multiple times over in his life. Most recently it was at the hands of the Box's Technicians who cloned him from an individual named Glacius--pitting honor and kindness against bitterness and resentment, which has resulted in a maladjusted individual who is steeped in a lot of internal conflict. This has spawned a lot of issues in the ice alien. Algidus often seems cool-headed and somewhat distant just as his original did, but since a lot of his patience is taken up by his attempts to deal with his own issues, his emotions can flare--this often means that he is more likely to act hostile or aggressive than he did back before he was cloned. To him, being gentle and kind-hearted is just another way of inviting someone to hurt him, but if someone is patient with him, respects his space, and shows him support when he needs it, he will do his best to grant them the same courtesy—which will open the door to develop a deeper friendship with the alien... and he can be an incredibly loyal and powerful ally.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: Algidus patrols the jungle that lines the camp regularly and occasionally pushes further out to hunt. He is normally a reclusive creature that can be somewhat hard to track down, but lately he's been spending more time in the base camp both looking out for a friend and helping defend and construct the walls.
What have they been doing with their time? A lot of the past months were spent looking for his buddy, AJ, who disappeared for awhile; he suffered a pretty bad injury during that time so he's been in recovery and is now back on his feet. Most recently he's been trying to gleam any information about the group of aliens that have shown up; he and AJ hunted down some extra gifts to send with the party of volunteers to try and smooth things along.
Current people they hang out with: AJ mostly; they're partners in crime. Also Newt, Carlisle, Rey, and Firo--though he's managed to make an ass of himself in front of those last two, so things are a bit more strained there.
Looking for: Any and all CR. Algidus is very prickly so negative CR is a definite (and oftentimes likely) possibility with him, but it's also totally possible to befriend him if your character plays their cards right, and he could do with some more positive influences!
Any future plans for them? I would love to get him in on more exploration and salvage missions--salvage in particular because of his ongoing escape plans, which he has a couple of ideas on. That's also the reason why I would love to have him establish an ongoing communication with the alien NPCs if they ever show up again. I think he's also going to be tangling with Firo at some point, and he might also be doing the same with Deckard... so yeah! Fairly full itineray but I'm always happy to add more on. Hit me up for the aforementioned exploration or salvage or anything else, for real!
Anything else: Algidus' species gradually adapts to significant changes in their environment, and he's been on this planet for awhile, so he's just about done with a green shift that means he looks more like this nowadays!

Character: Rey • Original •
Personality: Rey is a cyborg-like thing from the mid-22nd Century who doesn't care to use pronouns that much (unless it suits her) and has an aversion to sleeves. She acts like a robot with a monotone and no feelings on the outside but she's a lot more humanish than she lets on. She's warmed up to people over the years, so she's not as standoffish as she used to be. She also has a head full of memories of lives she had lived as different people and then died a lot, which can be confusing but she's since learned to get a handle on those. Hooray for self control.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: The treehouse Rey has built a few miles away from the camp. She visits the base camp frequently. Hangs out in the jungle. Stuff like that.
What have they been doing with their time? At the camp she does some of the regular night patrols, and has been helping with setting up the wall. In the jungle she does a lot of hunting, tracking, scouting, and scavenging for food and materials because she's got pretty ace survival skills. Otherwise she's at home working on tweaking and building crap just out of boredom.
Current people they hang out with: She lives with Firo and Muscovy and considers them to be her family. Occasionally she hangs out with AJ (or AJ hangs out with her, however you want to look at it) and butts heads with Algidus. She goes to the camp to check on certain people, mainly Tadashi. She's been trying to reconnect with Charles a little. Recently she's found out that David is a robot, and they've been bonding over robot things. There's also Ieza who sees her as like some guardian angel or something. It's awkward for her.
Looking for: I'm all for building all kinds of CR, positive or negative. Rey has been doing a headcount for all of the people current and missing, so if anyone wants to give her a hard time for that or whatever, I'm open. I'd also be interested in developing CR with characters who either have a combat/military background, living weapon-types, and robot/cyborg types. If anyone wants any help with survival training or sparring, she's your gal.
Any future plans for them? She will be doing some more exploration attempts and trying to stretch the tether. Other than that, not much is going on. I roll with the fall.
Anything else:
Rey is officially the last person left from the very first jump in the game launch, which is kinda surreal.
She also recently went for the diplomacy thing with their alien cohabitants. We'll see how that turns out.

Character: Carlisle Longinmouth • Original •
Personality: He's a guy who generally tries to make nice with people, but mostly finds them as insufferable as they find him. He talks a lot once he gets going, studies even more than he talks, and is aware that he is completely out of his element in this jungle world of aliens, monsters, and high technology. While he's enjoying the new powers granted by the ability grid and is glad his healing spells can be of service from time to time, he's got some inner problems related to other skills he has, which he's now remembered he does indeed have and is kind of glum about. Thanks for all that amnesia, crash landing. He would have been happier never remembering stuff. >:(
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: He has a little home set up near one of the walls of the camp, and walks the grounds both morning and night. While he occasionally heads into the jungle for scavenging, he mostly sticks to where the people are.
What have they been doing with their time? He just got back from being kidnapped and in a coma, so he's currently working on rebuilding his hut and his shrine.
Current people they hang out with: He's made some acquaintances out of folks like Rey, AJ, and Algidus, and knows a few others here and there. He's also friends with Elsa, and on Ryuuzaki's salvage team.
Looking for: I'm good for anything currently! He loves learning and chatting about religion, so anyone who wants to hit him from than angle would be doubly appreciated.
Any future plans for them? Like I mentioned above, he's just now gotten all of the memories he lost during the crash back -- the last ones were really related to his home life and aspects about himself he wasn't comfortable with anyway, so he is probably a little quieter these days. He's also SUPER UNSURE about the strangers because the way they communicate reminds him of his own abilities, namely the ones he's not super comfortable with. :<
That said, I'd totally LOVE to play with those eventually, namely his ability to influence and compel people. Could be by accident and telling them to run in a moment of panic, could be him compelling someone to protect him from a beast, could be anything! I'd like for him to have some moral qualms over what he does and how he does it, especially since they haven't come to light in the game proper yet. Bonus points if it's with someone he already knows or someone with enough mental fortitude to know he's compelling them to do stuff, but can't really do much about it at that moment. Super combo bonus if they have moral qualms with him after that, too.
Anything else: He is missing his wine collection from home something fierce, so if anyone manages to scavenge any from the wreck of the ship, see him after class.

Speaking of his magic and abilities, hit me up any time for that! AJ has had some experience with being compelled but while she is more sensitive to it, that doesn't make her immune. She might be a really good candidate for that, actually, given all of your prerequisites!

Character: Leo Elster • Humans •
Personality: Leo's not the nicest person around at all. He might be rude sometimes or even refuse to talk at all if he doesn't see a way to gather information, although he's not one to give out information about himself. He doesn't trust people very much, if at all, so that's fun. Also, Leo remembers everything he experiences perfectly and that really affects him a lot since he doesn't really have control over it.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: Around the camp and the ship when he needs to charge.
What have they been doing with their time? He's been helping Tony with getting electricity to the camp, also he's going to start to work with messing around with the network to make it more secure.
Current people they hang out with: Not many right now, currently he hangs around with Tony Stark because they are working on the electricity thing. He has also spoken with a couple of people, such as Rey, L and others. But since he's not much of a people person, he prefers to be alone most of the time.
Looking for: Any kind of CR! Both positive and negative is perfectly fine with me.
Any future plans for them? Trying to organize trip into the ship to explore it with his own eyes? Also I've been planning on making a post with him sneaking into the medical bay to charge, mostly to have someone see him and getting into his head that doing that is dangerous. He basically doesn't want anyone to know that he's part synth, so something like this to reveal it to some people might be interesting.
Anything else: He has an open wound on his side that he doesn't let it close or heal, which might become a problem later on. He needs to keep it open in order to charge, but he sometimes fails to take care of it properly.

Leo's got the kind of personality that would make AJ pester and poke, as she's not all that nice either. Also, she's got some experience with electrical work (basically apprentice level, so not great, but it was something she was actively studying in her home canon before Terrible Things happened!) so if she manages to wheedle that kind of info out of him I'd love to have her sneak in to listen or participate with the electrical rerouting. Whatever's the more fun to thread out, really, but it'd be fun to try a thread out with you some time if you're down for it.

Character: AJ Harris • Original •
Personality:
AJ's a great character at the moment because while she started off doggedly intent on causing harm and generally working against the general needs of the group, her time spread between Ax and (via mask hallucinations, via my dropping and re-apping) the underground of her game-of-origin, Box, she's become fearful enough of the repercussions of going it alone that she's quite susceptible to working with others right now! She is not always friendly and she is far from refined, but she is calculating and those calculations currently include making lasting impressions on others to build herself a safety net.
She doesn't just want to trade for goods, I think she's starting to wrap her head around the idea of roping others in who she can hope to get on the same wave-length. She leans towards those that are similarly tough, not quite as intellectual as they are stubborn... but she has the capacity to form bonds with people of a softer stripe if they're willing to take a little metaphorical and physical pummelling. If she can be swayed to the side of someone with vision, she can be put to work towards whatever goals they have, for a price. Her own stubbornness and craftiness make her an ideal (if snarky) henchman or gopher.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle:
Primarily around the camp these days, AJ can be found working on the wall, dragging detritus in for storage from nearby the tree-line or ship, or picking through the various stores and explaining to people which plants tend to ferment badly under the location's conditions. (She's successfully made alcohol and might be willing to set up a still in camp if prompted.)
What have they been doing with their time?
Wall building, starting to get her shaky calf-legs under her with regards to speaking with others, generally trying to tolerate people around her in order to make connections! She's been looking towards those who seem competent and is trying to insinuate herself onto their radar. Sometimes she's been mocking people, but that's a very hard habit for her to break.
Current people they hang out with:
1) Algidus: they are both clones and originally came in on the same jump wave, (the first after the ship crash-landed,) so they have a very strong bond. They are dancing around awkward cross-species feelings that they don't have time to fumble through right now. If anyone wants to manipulate that, they're gullible as sheep.
2) Rey, Firo and Muscovy: AJ has known the former two passingly since she arrived back in September. She's on a currently neutral standing and sees them both as sources of irritation and mentorship. Muscovy is an annoying brat that she's concerned is going to be bogeyman'd off into the night. If anyone has dirt on these three that might help her to make better friends or to use against them, she might be game.
3) Carlisle: Currently seen by her as an old-man dweeb who's a useful source of information and an easy target for her voluble irritation. Team match of football or want to tell her off for picking on the weaker links in the herd, anyone?
4) Flint 'Steve' Deckard: Tried to eat her for lunch, once, but she doesn't realize it yet. She's convinced he's rabid or simply crazy, though, and wouldn't mind seeing him dangling over the edge of a cliff.
5) Wizards With Cheeky Accents: When she first arrived, AJ had set up an agreement with the HP wizards to deliver alcohol in exchange for help getting towards her and Algidus' mutual goal of getting off-planet. She delivered the booze they craved, then disappeared. Now she's out for recompense.
...There are more but only in passing acquaintance stage! Happy to build on that, though!
Looking for:
Prerequisite EVERYONE! but I would love to crack into groups that are willing to seize her eagerness to work and to exchange informal pot-shots with. I'd love to have her make some friends her own age (she's early twenties right now) and I'd also love to have her make some friends who are interested in the idea of getting off planet or at least interested in expanding the tether significantly. Oh!! I'll be putting up an IC network post soon enough where AJ asks for pointers in learning to wield the spear she's got, but anyone who's got fighting experience with weapons... I'd love to have her train with that and get her ass whooped a few times. ;u; She's a squishy right now and I'd love to give her some bite to go with her bark.
Any future plans for them?
Absolutely number one: exploration, primary goal of trying to find shuttle parts, retrieve them (somehow????) and put a working shuttlecraft together for the purpose of escaping the planet. That's mostly Algidus' goal, but AJ's fiercely pursuing it. I'd love to get her tangled up in others plans, too. I admit that SoL general scuffling is something I enjoy, but a balance of that and the horror/survival and actual advancing of the game'd be really fiercely appreciated.

charles xavier.
Personality: he is the younger iteration of professor x in his stage 2 development which has more crying than most developments. sort of hitting an in between note of first class and days of future past for those that means anything to. for those that know nothing: charles is an almost 40-year-old english-sounding guy who comes across as his scottish actor's send up of english guys, but has loosened up quite a lot in the last 10 years in the form of excess drinking and smoking and occasional swearing. he is someone that has held onto a lot of bitterness and anger and its affected his personality, but lately, he is in the process of handling it like a mature adult and tends to either repress it or focus outward and on other people. his driving motivation is unbridled optimism which he doesn't wear very publicly any more at all but sometimes peeks through all the scruff. being a telepath dictates his interactions with people strongly, for the better and for the worst. he is generally kind.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: he has a jungle laboratory!! and by 'he has' i mean he willed one into being and it is lately more often frequented by other scientifically minded or curious persons, and is open to newcomers. it's very low budget but it tries hard.
otherwise, he shares a treehouse with his labrador and magneto and can be seen around and about.
What have they been doing with their time? cataloguing flora and fauna, trying to find science solutions, practicing his manifestation abilities, meditating on psychic tether stuff, and more recently, getting mauled by a rabid jungle monster, so currently he is in recovery.
Current people they hang out with: he lives with magneto and is seen with mystique more often than not. friendly, against all apparent odds, with johanna mason. he occasionally guilts william tsang into feelings. remus and he are probably getting along lately. beginning to reconnect with rey.
Looking for: new minds with new psychological trappings he can assist with. also: people who are good at science (or sciencing with magic), joining his team.
Any future plans for them? i'm fairly open. he's going to divine some solutions to his missing fingers in the form of developing prosthetics bc he is vain but inventive and bored while he can't walk good, and go explore some stuff once he is less limping and distraught at himself. he is currently in the throes of those things.
Anything else: He Has Telepathy, in case you didn't know who professor x is. in general, it's a little like having a constant radio on, although he does not listen to everything. still, if this is a hook of interest to you, here it is. also a permissions post.

Personality: Death is a little ray of sunshine. She figures it takes just as much energy to be perky as grumpy and perky's more fun. She is also the queen of non-judgemental because she's basically heard it all. She's a fantastic listener and genuinely cares about everyone.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: She's been helping out with medical since she found herself with a non-trivial portion of her magical abilities and healing seemed the most straightforward use.
What have they been doing with their time? Healing people as needed, making use of magic to help build, looking for people who look sad, the usual Death thing. Also trying to figure out dessert with what they have.
Current people they hang out with: Death, Muscovy
Looking for: She's a great character for dragging characters out of their shell, people with lots of self loathing a specialty. She's always there for people who need an ear to listen.

Character: Tadashi Hamada • Big Hero 6 •
Personality: Tadashi's that good-natured buddy you would want to make in class, because he would always be amiable about lending you his perfect notes. Here, he's the guy who makes flashlights and hands them out, fiddles with any bit of electronic scrap he can get his hands on, and volunteers any free time he has to help patch people up with the other medical sorts. He does balance it all out with a bit of sarcasm, but that's Tadashi in a nutshell.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: If not lurking near the medical side of camp, he's probably at his.... shack? It's been added onto too much to be considered a tent anymore -- complete with workbench and some rudimentary seating inside. Normally he's at the workbench with the tent flaps thrown open to allow in sunlight as he works.
What have they been doing with their time? Making flashlights. And then suffering from a bad case of the plot coma up until a few days ago.
Current people they hang out with: Rey, Firo, and Rikku mainly. It seems like most of his regular friends have up and vanished on him.
Looking for: Any and all as long as you can deal with slow tags.
Any future plans for them? I'd like him to get out more and do some jungle exploring. He needs to add to his skill set.
Anything else: He's still working on his manifestation powers, so that might be a thing? :D

Character: James Potter • Harry Potter •
Personality: Egotistical goof-off. That about sums it up. He's right in the middle of that whole "growing up" thing, but he's still very much a teenage boy with a magic wand and no sense of his own mortality (which is ironic, considering he's got some fairly solid ideas about what his lot in life turns out to be).
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: Almost anywhere. He doesn't tend toward sticking to any one spot, and he can usually be found roaming around anywhere, poking his nose where it doesn't belong and getting a better idea of what his surroundings are like. This is no castle, but he still has that drive to explore.
What have they been doing with their time? Up until that nasty case of coma, he was learning to hunt for food and exploring the surrounding area whenever the chance came up.
Current people they hang out with: I haven't had him in play much (too many hiatuses in a row), but he is bound to stick around any of the other Harry Potter crew when he can, but he's the sort to try to befriend anyone who doesn't rub him the wrong way. More chances to be adored that way.
Looking for: Any! Positive, negative, some hard-ass to put him in his place and shout at him to grow up (it won't work).
Any future plans for them? He might be down for capturing infected animals to squint at. I'd like him to hear about the powers thing so he can scoff about already having magic before giving it a go anyway.
Anything else: Just wanna get him more integrated with things now that I'm off hiatus! I'll be please with any ideas you throw my way.

Personality: Solitary, driven, proud. He tends to regard humans as less than and is less likely to give them his time than he is the average mutant, wizard or android. Highly self-righteous, hard to change his mind, not always trustworthy, particularly where ends and means are concerned. His experiences aboard the ship have beaten him down. He has some personal issues.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: Salvaging metal, construction, around the ship, sometimes in it. He’s built a largish tree house to the northeast of camp, within easy walking distance. Charles lives there with his dog.
What have they been doing with their time? Building treehouses for people who haven’t managed it for themselves yet, moving heavy objects and accumulating raw materials, keeping an eye on local politics without getting too involved.
Current people they hang out with: Charles Xavier, Johanna Mason.
Looking for: I’m down for anything, but especially interested in ideological conflict with potential for escalation beyond angry text messages. Also CR that would like to destroy the ship or the thing in the ship or both. People to rudely invade his personal life. Just Magneto things.
Any future plans for them? He’s interested in not going extinct, which means protecting the useless hoard of the Tranquility crew, etc, both from nature and the influence of the ship. He’s been low key since the crash, but will be less so if he feels like the camp is going in a direction that doesn’t lend itself well to long term survival.
Anything else: Was on the TQ for nearly two years prior to the crash, has had run ins with Dark Forces At Work and stayed with the jump drive with a team of singing Frenchmen. He’s the only survivor, and what he endured has given him some insight into what lurks in the ship. He hasn’t openly volunteered much in the way of detail, but the gist is floating around out there. He also has increasingly powerful empathic abilities and creeps on feelings around him on the regular.
I don't OTA very often because I'm slow and fear overload, but am v open to planned threads.

Current people they hang out with: BENNY NEEDS CR. Uh. She's being low-key stalked by Bucky, got outed as something other than what she admits to being to Erik (and then Charles), helped Jack with a gross rabies monster.
Looking for: Any, tbh. I'd like her to get closer to people, to develop more bonds generally and be less of a satellite.
Any future plans for them? Eventually, being more open about the fact she's super fucking old is definitely in the cards.

Personality: Stubborn, quiet, friendly with a hint of mistrust. Chell likes to work alone but will work with others when she needs to. Her standards for friends are very low. Don't insult her or try to kill her and you're good. If you lose her trust she'll stop talking to you.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: The new gardens or the medbay area
What have they been doing with their time? Chell went and got some seeds from the ship and is now working on growing them. She also helps out in the medbay from time to time.

Looking for: People to help in the gardens. People who will pull her out of her shell. Anyone who wants a friend who will be incredibly loyal.
Any future plans for them? Get the gardens to be a thing. After that surviving and learning more ways to survive.
Anything else: She has no memories of anything before her time at Aperture/the events of the Portal games/ and so this is the longest she's been outside for that she can remember. She doesn't trust scientists.

Character: Cassie • Animorphs •
Personality: Cassie is very friendly and optimistic, she'll want to keep the peace and make friends with people. She has a knack for being able to read people pretty well, too, and likes to consider herself a very moral person. She's also a huge animal lover and has probably been babbling about how cool some of the weird animals here are.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: Mostly around camp.
What have they been doing with their time? Settling in. She's been exploring the jungle around camp and most likely helping with any jobs that need to be done.
Current people they hang out with: She's new, so no solid CR yet!
Looking for: All the everything! Friends, enemies, anything.
Any future plans for them? I'd love for her to get into a situation where she needs to use one of her morphs, or for someone to stumble across her morphing somehow.

Character: Wanda Maximoff • Marvel Cinematic Universe •
Personality: In a normal circumstance (and whatever qualifies as a normal circumstance for in-game purposes) she's typically more quiet, like a silent observer type, but she's friendly enough once you get to know her. She has a desire to be helpful and learn new things. Also sometimes she makes stupid life choices.
Common haunts around the camp or in the jungle: She hangs around the camp, the outskirts of the jungle, well and basically almost anywhere that isn't stupidly dangerous and/or off limits. For now. Though what I said about stupid life choices? She needs to make some soon, let's be real.
What have they been doing with their time? A lot of learning how to be a better fighter, gathering as much food as she can, hanging out with Tony Stark.
Current people they hang out with: Again -- mostly Tony Stark for now, t b h. (Look, she and Tony have made quick progress considering where they were in canon. Apparently two months on an alien planet with god knows what else makes her old grudges something to be tossed in the trash. Not dying > being pissed at Tony.)
Looking for: More friends! Anyone who wants to train her in more fighting skills! If anyone wants to go the negative CR route with her, I am game for that as well.
Any future plans for them? I need to get her involved in more projects and stuff, so I'll be looking into that ASAP. She kind of feels like she can't do much since her abilities are weaker here (hence the desire to learn how to be a better fighter), but she wants to try anyway. So it's just a matter of looking where to nudge her into.
