[ it wasn't like jax didn't get the set up. he and opie, they'd watched their fair share of sci-fi bullshit movies back when they were kids. and it wasn't even like he hadn't woken up naked somewhere before, because that had absolutely happened.

however, it's the combination of weird space pods, nasty blue goo, and complete unfamiliarity of everyone in the immediate vicinity that throws him off. toto, we're not in kansas anymore, etc. ]

tara never liked those stupid movies but she's seen enough just by osmosis to feel her heart speed up past the blind, instinctive panic response because she's seen this episode of x-files on enough hospitals tvs to know she doesn't want to be in it. ]

[ so the situation, as far as jax can read it, is they're somewhere totally unfamiliar with a bunch of fucking strangers and they're naked. it's definitely not an ideal situation. there's no real way to spin this into decent territory. but alright, time for panic has got to be later. right now it's about making sure they're both on steady ground. ]
