Character: L (but he always and only goes by Ryuuzaki in-game) • Death Note • ryuuzaki
Department: OPR -> Communications

Personality:
External: Calm, intelligent, awkward deadpan snarker with weird body language and a massive sweet tooth. Sometimes very blunt. In the game, he's shown a strong public interest in documenting and circulating information.
Internal: A reserved, secretive workaholic detective with a manipulative, competitive streak and almost no personal life at all. Observant. Good with puzzles, theories, etc. Keeps his head in a crisis.
Tends to be suspicious of everyone until he's had a chance to interact with them and develop a little capsule profile. Doesn't care about your privacy.
Neutral Good sliding towards Chaotic Neutral. There's a tension between what he accomplishes in canon (justice), what drives him (he likes a challenge), and the way he goes about it (somewhat grey morality). Can be callous, especially in his work, but is not a sadist.
His physique and personal habits will stand out to anyone who sees him around enough: bad posture, bad diet, weird body language, grips most things with only his fingertips, etc. Other characters are likely to notice and react to it, so it might be a hook for CR.
Type of CR: ALL CR IS GOOD CR! Friends, allies, interesting/thoughtful/smart people, investigation and theorizing buddies (law enforcement, security-oriented, con artists, spies, etc). Has a weakness for pretty girls. Also, COMMS PEOPLE! That's really important to me, because they work together in such a small space.
Other possibilities: people who will call him on his habits in a way that will result in comedy gold, fake friendships with terrible people, etc.
Any future plans for them?
1. Branching out! Trying to turn some of his past interactions into more solid, lasting relationships.
2. Hopefully catching up with some things I flubbed a few months ago when timing problems led to overload. If I've ever said I wanted to do stuff with our characters, I still do. We can do the things we talked about doing and/or negotiate something new.
3. Slowly, slowly working towards building his own little secret team. Not a department or anything, just some people he can sort of trust who would like to collaborate. Some of this may involve eventual bad ideas. L is pretty cautious, but he's also a guy who literally sat across from a god of death and tried to interrogate it. (It will come as no surprise that it killed him a few days later.)

Elsa

Personality: Actual Disney princess? After a lifetime of insecurity and feeling like she's had to hide who she is, Elsa has accepted the emotional support of others (who aren't around) and is much more comfortable in her own skin. Regal and reserved, but also good-natured and kind.
Type of CR: Anything! Especially new friends.
Any future plans for them? None yet.
Other notes: Elsa has mega snow powers, which are somewhat restricted here. She's from a Disney canon, but her story is somewhat like a superhero origin story.

hellooo i think cr with either of your characters could be interesting depending on their tolerance for jerkface wizards? it may take some crowbarring and work with L but their interests and general workaholic tendencies could dovetail into productivity. or hating each other. w/e. Elsa could maybe do with somebody who is very pro-magic?? or maybe she is too nice, unsure. i only saw frozen once and i was on cold meds but i had that one song stuck in my head for a day despite it.

L needs some actual relationships with people (well, I need him to have them, anyway, as a player), so that sounds good! I know he would have creeped on Snape's network post, but in general I've had him stay a little aloof from magic stuff simply because he has no abilities of that nature. That doesn't mean he needs to stay aloof; that's just why he would have lurked instead of saying anything. He'll have a log up in a day or so, so that might have some opportunity for them to bump into each other.

Elsa could probably do with some pro-magic friends. I think one challenge for her is that she's only been sure of herself for a couple of days at most prior to being brought to the ship, and could go either way at this point. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with posts for her yet (maybe not until the beginning of April), but I'd love for them to start talking when they can start talking!

i feel you - severus definitely reads most of the network, but a combination of him being unsocial and him not being used to the interface means he's quiet a lot. .. also he's been here for five minutes. if i can wrangle something in your log, expect him! if not, i am cool with biding our time. not everything happens immediately with cr. occasionally the long con of tricking reclusive weirdos into being pals is required.

i'll keep an eye out for her too! o7
