[It isn't the worst day of his life, but that says more about his priorities than the matter at hand. It's thoroughly unpleasant on every possible level. Finding himself in a situation he hadn't properly prepared for is one thing; he's not unfamiliar with that. But this — he doesn't even have a frame of reference for whatever this is, and his pride stings stubbornly at the thought of admitting to something that feels so much like helplessness.]

[Standing up still feels like an ordeal, but he has managed (and remarkably quickly! but then, he's a Tyrell — it's probably in his blood) to find his clothes — white — and what remains of his dignity, and made himself presentable. If he has that, at least, he might not be completely lost.]

[ new arrivals always look particularly disconcerted, but at least the one arthur's got his eye on has managed to find his locker all right. his clothes are of a familiar enough cut to make arthur bold — when he sees people who don't dress modernly, he goes out of his way to talk to them. for his part, arthur is in breeches and tunic, carrying his chainmail in a clanking sack. though he'd prefer to be wearing it, he can't get the straps tight enough without merlin, and merlin's busy wrangling his horse. ]

[He really doesn't have the first idea how to begin answering that question. Better than some, to be sure. "All right" still seems a terrible stretch. Perhaps it's best to sidestep it entirely.]

[Clothed in white he may be, but that hair, the way he moves, the dear face that he has missed so long since his arrival here -- that is what has Renly rushing over and wrapping his arms tightly around Loras without a second thought.]

[It's a dream, he thinks, at first. It has to be. He's had this one more times than he can count. But they never felt like this — like he's missed his step on a flight of stairs, and the whole world is tilting madly away from him. It's impossible. Impossible, and yet—]

[His arms go around Renly, because his body remembers, even as his thoughts are tripping over themselves — and then he's clinging to him like a lifeline. After a moment, he even remembers how to breathe.]

... Renly?

[Yes, it is certainly that same handsome bearded face beaming at him, reaching to touch his cheek as if he can't quite believe this is real. Maybe it's a dream, but it certainly feels real.]

[Maybe he's died and this is his afterlife. That's not so bad, then. If they're both dead, then surely it's all right if he kisses Renly?]

[Well, good luck to anyone who tries to stop him.]

[He's been wanting to kiss him since he saw Loras, so he is grateful for it, wrapping his arms around Loras' waist quite happily.]

[If Stannis should see them -- well, if he had not figured it out by now, he was surely the fool Renly always suspected him to be.]

[When he finally does pull back, it's only by inches. There are a thousand things he thought he'd say if he ever got the chance, but only one comes to mind.]

[And he moves back to put a hand on Loras' cheek again, smiling so wide his face might very well break in two if it continues much longer.]

And I missed you. It has been months, love.

I know. I...

[But he cuts himself off and just lets his forehead rest against Renly's, still clinging tightly to him, not trusting what might happen if he lets go.]

[And he's just going to continue smiling like a madman at Loras, moving that hand cupping his cheek down to a shoulder.]

[So, is semi-public kissing an acceptable substitute for coherent thought? Because he's going to need a minute. Or several.]

[Well, of course it is. Renly is in fact thinking much along the same lines, because he's very definitely kissing back. Whatever, public, he hasn't seen his boy in six months at least.]

[floridity]

[And the last time Loras saw Renly, he was burying him. He's more than a little desperate, and it shows.]

[So it does. And after one more kiss, Renly pulls back a little, looking curious.]

What is it? Something is wrong.

[floridity]

[... but kissing!]

Wrong? No. Far from it.

[Kissing is all well and good, but Loras honestly takes priority over kisses right now.]

Well, what is it then?

... I half suspect I'm dreaming. But that must be wrong. I would dream of you, but never this.

[therainbowking]

I do not think anyone would dream of a place like this. It is very strange.

Which is all the more reason why I am glad you are here, I have been stuck with Stannis. [STANNIS. Stannis is the worst, Loras. :C ....Okay, maybe not as bad as Cersei. BUT CLOSE.]

[Well, now he's just confused again.]

[Renly is clearly doing an excellent job of explaining things.]

[Don't let Loras work things out on his own. He's not very good at it.]
