[ She's biting down a flinch, gaze flickering to the weapon. Of course, it makes her uneasy and tense. But, Ruby wouldn't be doing her part if she didn't try and help.

Or something along those lines, and she's briefly raising her hands - she's unarmed, and her blouse and jeans really leave little room for concealing anything.

She can only guess that this girl had her fair share of problems back in her world. A sigh. ] I can't really explain a lot about this place - I don't think anyone really has any of the answers we all want.

But I can try and help? [ She can't help but offer that. Someone helped her when she just got here, she'll do the same. ]

[It only takes a moment for her to see that Ruby is unarmed. Lara lowers the weapon slowly and puts it away. She's carrying all sorts of things on her belt. Two guns, an assortment of tools and there's even a bow slung onto her back.]
