so true. their codependency knows no bounds
except right now. because this definitely wasn't a stop along the way.]
Can't make any theories till we take a look around. [pulling away is more difficult than he'd care to admit, but he eventually manages to step back enough to make his intentions clear. time's a wasting, and they still have a teenager and a troll to find too.] Whatever's going on though, we'll work it out.
it really doesn't sob
Right. [ her hands find his and squeeze tight before she lets go entirely, and she starts stepping towards the rows of lockers. a moment of observing tells her how they operate, and she turns back to her brother, gesturing at him to follow her lead. (it's unnecessary; he always does.) ] I think we can find something more than towels this way.
[ and, with any luck, their weapons, but she doubts that fortune will follow them that far. ]

when gretel starts moving, hansel's own steps come automatically as he follows after her; albeit at a slight distance. they always watch each others backs, and with them both currently weaponless, that's a strategy that neither of them can ignore here.]
Pants would be great right about now. [though with the look he gives to a nearby spectator. he's quick to rethink that.] A shirt for you, at least. [in other words, strangers had better stop ogling gretel unless they want to be stuck dealing with him.]

I'm thinking the numbers line up with which one of these is ours.
no subject
and raise an arm he does. only it's so he can take a closer look at those numbers that'd been etched in to his skin without his consent.]
Guess using our names would be too simple.
no subject
Does yours mean anything to you?
no subject
Guess we should... [a motion to the lockers; to the ones with matching numbers. he takes the lead this time, purposely stepping between gretel and his locker. he has no idea of what's inside, so he isn't going to risk gretel being front and center if its a trap. though judging by the fact others don't seem to be having any problems with hidden explosives, he could be overreacting a little. still, better safe than sorry. especially where gretel's concerned.
another glance to his number, and hansel finally tugs his locker open. carefully. he only breathes again once nothing seems to happen; no trap being tripped. neither of them are the sudden recipient of an arrow to the face. no, it seems that there's really...nothing to worry about here. which is the strangest part of it all. a look to gretel, a shrug, and he steps to the side so they can both check the contents.
clothes. and more importantly-] My gun?
no subject
Small favors, I guess. [ it's muttered under her breath as she steps over to her locker and opens it. clothing is indeed there, along with her crossbow and a quiver of arrows. she glances over her shoulder at her brother, raising an eyebrow. ]
At least whatever's trapped us wants us to be comfortable.
no subject
pulling his gun out the locker, he leans it against them instead, giving himself space to sift through the rest. shirt, jacket, pants- ah, there. his fingers wrap around his thighs holster, tugging it free so he can take a quick check inside. there's still a couple of full syringes, which means they've still got time to get out of there before he ends up slowing gretel down.]
Think the kid and the troll are here? [as difficult to miss as edward would be, he already doubts it. people are acting far too calmly right now for there to be a full grown troll walking amongst them. and ben, well, who knows with that kid.]
no subject
I think either one would have found us by now if they were. [ she nods to the syringe case. ] How much have you got?
no subject
it becomes a little easier to hide that concern once he finally pulls out a familiar leather satchel. the rest of the locker contents go ignored then as he flips it open, breathing a sigh of relief at the small collection of bottles sitting inside. it's those he shows to gretel then, grinning slightly as he does. with those, he has a little more time. weeks instead of days, and that's exactly what they need right now.]
Guess we should go see about finding a way back before they get each other killed. [not that he's particularly concerned about that. but as long as gretel gives a damn about them, he will too.]
