[ Rodney McKay, five times winner of least subtle man on Atlantis, squints at the question -- as if Sheppard may have said something particularly stupid but he can't quite be sure. ]

Pegasus? Do you --

[ And the penny drops. He pauses in the middle of attempting to half-pull clothes on underneath his towels like a girl in a changing room, glances around suddenly as if those hostiles John mentioned may be secretly listening in. This results in a slight stumble, and an awkward moment where he rights himself and attempts to regain dignity. Adopt, adapt and improve. ]

Well, I mean, not exactly. I don't recognise anything specific, although the technology level is... similar? It's interesting, actually, very 90s sci-fi. Mixture of mundane every-day things like lockers and showers and then suddenly, bam, stasis tubes, creepy hallways and weird structures. But, uh, no. Not anyone we know, I don't think. Unless they stole it.

quietly notes jonesy the cat is actually on the ship

[ this is so embarrassing. ]

Try not to hurt yourself.

[ that's on the clothes gymnastics, but it also gives him time to mull over rodney's feedback while his gaze drifts back towards the pods. he's not wrong about the 90s thing, what with the slick medbay and the dark halls; throw in some drool and freudian imagery and it's a ridley scott wet dream. ]

Are you sure it isn't 90s sci-fi? It wouldn't be the first time someone used our memories against us. Like with the - [ what the hell was that thing called ] Not-Hammond.
citrusfree: ([ Can you believe it? ])

I know, that is what makes it so hilarious

The what? What is the not-Hammond? Could you possibly be any less specific? Are we now going to refer to things by what they aren't? Am I going to call other people the Not-Sheppards, other cities the Not-Atlantis? What is this, some kind of puzzle game? Animal, vegetable, mineral?
