What's that sound? [ Cat is talking to himself. He gives her a look past the door of his locker, then darts back. ] Play it cool! Am I looking fine? [ A glance in a hand mirror tucked inside his grooming supplies, then a brush of his eyebrow with a toothbrush. ] Now I am!

[ And he leans back again to look at her, all bright smile and sharp teeth, eight nipples, and a white towel slung low about his hips. ]

Well hello! Why, you're almost as beautiful as I am!

[ Of course, she hears everything that he says and it amuses Bela greatly; so much that so she decides to stick around and see how this played out.

Bela herself was already dressed but her hair was still a little damp from the shower and she was letting it dry naturally like she always did.

When he comes back into view, Bela is taken aback by his appearance, though it does not show visibly on her face out of politeness. Still, this was very strange for her, even with what she had seen thus far on the ship. ]

Now, I don't think that's possible. But hello.

[Okay, so she sounds a tad sarcastic.]

[ Cats can't hear sarcasm when it's dressed up as a compliment. It just goes right over his head, like many things. He brushes down his collar with both hands, grins again. ]

You know, you're right. I am looking fine. [ He spins on the spot with a wild yowww, then slides closer, leaning in against the locker beside hers, no more than a foot away. ]

Where have you been all my lives?

[ Wonderful. She's dealing with an idiot.

An idiot who thought it was all right to come up to her without warning and in such a ridiculous way as well. Unknown to him, Bela has a gun in her locker. ]

As far as away as possible I can imagine. [ Lives. What a curious thing to say. ] Is this how you normally greet people or am I just the lucky one?

[ That's not fair. His father was the idiot, not him. ]

Well that depends. [ He raises his hand to his chin and rubs it slowly. ] There aren't many monkeys left, and I haven't met any as pretty as you.

So I guess that does make this your lucky day.

Monkey? [ She sounds offended by his words.] I am not a monkey.

[ But pretty though? Hearing that appealed to her ego. However, it didn't take away the bite of his previous comment.]

You sure smell like a monkey.

[ Oh yes, he's scoring all the points. And now he's sniffing her. ]
