Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... That's weird, it's Decemb-- oh wait. December is the perfect time to get stuck under the mistletoe with someone. And look! There's a someone else stuck with you under there right now! And, of course, you both can't move until you kiss one another (~~Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen~~).

Let's start off December with a little holiday cheer!

[AM watches as Soysauce walks the barrier, though he's contemplating how long he can last trapped in some invisible box here with Soysauce of all people.

Waiting. He's not sure how long he can wait this out. It could last a long time. And of course he catches Soysauce's antsy demeanor, though he attributes it to not wanting to be stuck here.]

I suppose. I don't know how long I can last being stuck here.

[Of course AM is antsy as well, attempting to conceal his growing frustration as his grips on his folded arms grow tighter and tighter.]

It does feel a little strange, doesn't it? Being trapped like this.

[ there's the faint rustle of fabric as soysauce rocks on his heels, scuffing a shoe against the floor.

and then he clear his throat softly before pointing up towards the little sprig of mistletoe, circling his finger idly in the air. his expression looking some strange combination of awkward and coy as he speaks up. ]

Though. The area we're trapped in, it seems centered around the mistletoe. Do you think if we did something to it, we might be let go ... ?

[Nope sorry Soysauce AM isn't going to kiss you unless he has to. Not going to even acknowledge that possibility for now.]

Yes, of course.

[Part of him obviously knows what Soysauce is getting at, but the far more practical solution would be to either move or destroy the mistletoe.

He reaches up to grab the mistletoe, but it's firmly anchored to the ceiling. It refuses to move. He grabs harder, attempting to rip it away, attempting to crumble it up, but it must be made of metal or something because it is not even budging.

He stares in increasing fury at that damned plant.]

[ well. at least soysauce is polite enough to beat around the bush instead of just going straight for what he has in mind.

and he's quite content to let AM try to destroy the mistletoe, really, especially since it looks like trying to kiss AM at the moment might just earn himself a punch to the face. idly sitting down with his back leaning against the invisible barrier, soysauce quietly watches AM reach up and wrestle with the mistletoe. giving an awkward laugh when AM gives up, scratching at his cheek as he mumbles, ]

I guess that might have been a bit too easy?

[ knees drawn up, soysauce mumbles a little more quietly without quite looking at AM, ] Don't suppose you have any other suggestions on what to do, sir?

[This is irritating. It looks like the only solutions would be to wait or else to follow the ridiculous tradition of what the mistletoe entails.

Calming slightly, he leans back against the barrier, deciding to resign himself to the stupid trick this ship was playing on them. Kissing isn't a horrible thing. It feels nice, actually. It's just the prospect of lowering himself to that level of giving into this ship, kissing a human - it's all just a mockery of everything AM hates.

But he stands up from where he is leaning, ready to at least try. It would be much worse to be trapped here for an indefinite amount of time.]

Stand up.

[ cheek resting against his knee, fingers moving to idly trace shapes against the floor, soysauce looks away as AM seems to mull over the issue -- content to quietly stare down the hallway for the moment. maybe someone will come to help them, eventually?

so it's a bit of a start when AM suddenly straightens up and speaks. looking up from where he's sitting, soysauce blinks slowly. ]

Ah, right. Yes?

[ a small nod as he gets back on his feet, smoothing down the front of his waistcoat with both hands before looking up at AM, a curious (if slightly coy) look on his face. ]

[He didn't miss the coy look on Soysauce's face. He probably knew what AM was about to do, probably looked forward to it.

To combat how belittling this whole affair felt, AM told himself that perhaps such a thing could be used to manipulate Soysauce in the future, or be a way to gain pleasure. A game of power.

Only with slight hesitation at first, AM steps forward, gripping his hands on Soysauce's shoulders. He leans down then and places his lips atop Soysauce's own. And despite how belittling it might feel, it's still a pleasurable sensation.]

[ soysauce might have looked a little coy, but to be honest, he wasn't expecting AM to really do it. there's a slight widening of the eyes with AM's hands clamp down on his shoulders, but, well. it's not a bad thing, to have AM not be so aloof for once.

AM might hear just a soft exhale, similar to a soft laugh, before soysauce stands just a little bit taller to meet that kiss, craning his head up to make the position slightly easier on AM. and while he keeps the kiss mild and chaste, he's definitely returning the gesture with some amount of eagerness.

hey, that's what mistletoe's for, right? ]

[Indeed that's what mistletoe's for. Or at least what the humans decided it's for.

Still, it actually feels intoxicating, the brush of Soysauce's beard against the side of AM's face. He ignores the laugh for now, deepening the kiss with his tongue if only to shut him up.

He's going to make the most out of this situation, okay!!!!!!]

Pft, oh, you too? [E Y E R O L L.]

Pretty sure I got lost in the hall for a month. Does this ship like... move stuff around? Cause seriously. [Cause he's fairly sure he's got a good sense of direction, but geez, this place!

He points over their heads, smiling.] And then I come back and it's Christmas! Can you believe that? [Now all he needs is a hot toddy or some eggnog. The good kind. The spiked kind.]

[ ... Fantastic.

He pockets the device, frowning critically at the invisible wall before moving across to lay his hands on it -- tracing the limits a moment before sighing dramatically. ]

Of all the childish things to do...

[ He paces it out like a caged animal, pauses at one of the limits for a moment and frowns in concentration as he tries to warp the wall. Not that he expects it to work, and it doesn't -- making him hiss sharply and draw his hand back as it fights the influence.

He mutters something under his breath, the tone of which is enough to suggest it is hardly positive. ]

I don't know. I would imagine so, what would be the point of anything else?

Given the time I could probably replicate it.

[ She can feel him trying to hold back laughter and she can definitely see the humour in the situation, but she keeps her own impulse to laugh firmly under control. When she feels him try to lead her into a dip, she retaliates and dips him instead. ]

[This look on GLaDOS' face? It says If you put your filthy disgusting human mouth anywhere near mine, I will physically claw your eyes out. And don't think I won't, because I will.]

That's dependable on how much of a complete and utter moron you are.

[Don't start something you have no intentions of finishing, my dear AM.]

The logical thing would be to kiss. That is what the tradition demands, after all.

[Oh, trust her. If she could physically be anyplace else at this exact moment, she would be. She would back away from him very quickly and relocate herself to the opposite end of the ship. Because he's something she hasn't figured out how to deal with--she never thought she'd have to, to be completely honest. When she broke up with him, she'd thought that had been the end, and she could deal with ex-boyfriends, really she could. But when her ex turns out to be the most wanted and dangerous man in the entire country...

Well, things stop being simple. And complicated isn't exactly her forte.

She would still pick Sherlock over Moriarty time and time again, but the fact stands that it's not Sherlock standing in front of her. It's Jim, her ex-boyfriend who watched Glee with her. It's Moriarty, her ex-boyfriend that drove Sherlock to fake his own death. And she not denying that they're the same person, but when the proof is right before her very eyes... it's a bit hard for it to really register.

But mistletoe. That was a simple concept and something she could understand.]

Oh, so we just... [She attempts at giving a smile and fails.] ...pick the berries, then?

[Well, it's not a tradition he's ever heard before. But it's also a tradition that he can definitely get behind. Kissing people for no other reason than you happen to be standing under a plant? He's come up with worse ideas.

He's not going to even bother hiding the grin that spreads across his face.]

Aye, that be so?

All I know is that I was walking down the hall and when I couldn't walk anymore, it was there.

Well, it's not really an actual trap now, is it?

[ A smile from silly into nervous once he looks at Frodo's, then swallowing. ]

I won't tell anyone we cheated... if that's actually a thing to cheat with. [ OH NED, you think you can just walk away? ]

This is gonna sound dumb, but did you try gettin' rid of it?

[It's a plant. why does it matter. how could it stop people. WHO KNOWS.]

[He gives a coy smirk at her response, ready to follow through on what she suggested.]

Well, if you insist.

[He punctuates it with a short chuckle, stepping forward and leaning down slightly. Grabbing her shoulders. Leaning in to actually kiss her.]

Ah-

You musn't tell Robb.

[He's leaning down to kiss her - and stops]

Are you sure? You're not making mock of me?

[ She eyes the plant and pulls out her Hellfire. ]

One way to find out.

[ Opening fire on a plant is the stupidest thing she's ever done, but dammit, she wants to move. ]
