Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... That's weird, it's Decemb-- oh wait. December is the perfect time to get stuck under the mistletoe with someone. And look! There's a someone else stuck with you under there right now! And, of course, you both can't move until you kiss one another (Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen).

Let's start off December with a little holiday cheer!

[ She eyes the plant and pulls out her Hellfire. ]

[ Opening fire on a plant is the stupidest thing she's ever done, but dammit, she wants to move. ]

[Let's just make sure it's good and toasted, shall we? He brings up his Volcano to add to the cloud of flames engulfing the thing. When the fire and smoke clear, though, the plant doesn't even look scorched.]

Qué coño? So it's fake, right? Has to be. Here, lemme give you a boost. We gotta get that thing down.

Did you forget the part where I can't move? [ Except as soon as she says it, it becomes apparent that she can move closer to him. At least that was something. ]

[He raises an eyebrow as she quite clearly proves herself wrong.]

Guess I didn't take the not moving thing to mean I couldn't lift you. Let's try it.

I'm going to rip this thing down. [ She waited for him to offer her a boost up before moving. ]

[He waits, ready to pick her up, and it seems like this is actually possible as he holds onto her, trying to help move her closer to the ceiling. But of course the plant doesn't budge. And when he tries to set her down and back away, he can't - again, moving closer had been the only option, and now they weren't even able to do that anymore, leaving him stuck there with his arms around her.

Awkward.]

Uh. So. Got any more ideas?

[ Her eyes glanced down at his arms and she would have pushed him away, except she didn't seem able to. What the hell was going on here? ]

You can let go of me now.

[Apparently he could actually do that, though standing chest to chest with her and with his arms just hanging at his sides felt pretty weird.]

Lucky you, it let me do that. I was startin' to think maybe it wouldn't. Damn thing wants us glued together.

[He was being sarcastic, of course. A plant certainly couldn't want anything. Especially not anything this ridiculous.]

Obviously someone with too much time on their hands. Besides, it's gotta be a distraction from what's really doin' this, right? Like some kinda force field under a floor panel.

Think we can pry the ones up beside us?

Not if we're stuck here like this. Seems like anytime I try to move in a direction away from you, I just can't do it. Won't let me.

[ She couldn't even twist around. ]

I'd try phase shifting us, but I don't have any eridium on me.

Can you phase shift small things without it, like that plant?

I should be able to, but I also should have been able to rip it off the ceiling.

[ This was going to be awkward with him standing there. She lifted a hand toward the plant and gathered blue light in an attempt to move the plant elsewhere. ]

...How is that thing on there?!

[It's hard for him to know if her inability to move the plant is due to the plant itself, or if it's just because she's still relatively new to using her abilities like that, and then there's the lack of power.]

Maybe it's part of the ship? So movin' a small piece of it if it's connected to the rest doesn't work? Though hell if I know how a ship sprouts fake plants that trap people, or why.
