Oh, I'm sure it can't be as bad as Serenity for a name. [It was hardly a serene ship, after all. Anything but, when you had Jayne and Mal on board.] Why would anyone bring people on board a ship? [The eternal question. Why is anything done as it is?]

[His expression hardens for a moment, then he smiled.] An interesting line in tricks, I have to admit. A ship playing them?

Serenity? Do you know Simon then? [This ship'll never be tranquil, Preacher.] As for why, I can't answer. I happen to be mostly sane.

[She shakes her head.] If I hadn't experienced it before myself, I'd be skeptical as well. The ship has no crew except who it's kidnapped and yet horrible and strange things are a common occurrence here.

Simon Tam? A doctor? If it's him, then yes.

[He looked somewhat disturbed by the thought of it.] Surely it can't be so bad. There is something good in every place, I've found.

Yes, there is some good here, but there is much to outweigh it.

It will be good to see him, though for me it hasn't been long. And may I ask... what sort of bad things are going on here?

Time seems to stop back home while we're here. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad, considering it also means that not everyone who comes here is from the same period in time.

[Like her family, for example. Or the rest of your crewmates.]

There have been a few medical scares that had to do with the nanites that our wonderful ship has implanted in our bodies. There was also a monster from one of the other resident's world that got loose and mutated to show everyone their worst fears. [She doesn't want to think about herself as a Sith Lord again, okay?] And those seem to be mild compared to some of the stories I've heard.
