Mistletoe Meme

Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... That's weird, it's Decemb-- oh wait. December is the perfect time to get stuck under the mistletoe with someone. And look! There's a someone else stuck with you under there right now! And, of course, you both can't move until you kiss one another (
Let's start off December with a little holiday cheer!

I suppose you have a point.
[Francesco, for his part, tips his head down and gives her the sweetest, most inoffensive and gentle kiss he can manage, a chaste press of his lips against hers.
That seems to do the trick!]

[ oh! that was rather nice. bethany is pleasantly surprised once it's over, and she finds herself smiling. it's amazing what a break in the ice and the ability to move can do to relax her. ]
That was.. [ wonderful? yes. ] Thank you.

You are most welcome.

I didn't know it would be as nice as that. But it was.
[ as can be easily surmised, this has been bethany's first. ]

So, yes. This is quite new.]
Normally they are a little bit... more.

What do you mean?
[ why is she so curious? ]

[Look, how does he tell that innocent, adorable young woman that whores taught him to kiss?
He doesn't.
But he leans back in, aiming a kiss for her cheek.]
For example... This is how we greet people in Italy.

[ that might not entirely surprise her. she knows a pirate queen who's send her wicked letters and novels for six years in the gallows. but reading something and putting it into practice with no experience to speak of are quite different matters entirely.
her cheeks redden again at the 'greeting' he gives her. this isn't a member of her family doing it, which is different. again, not in a bad way. ]
Are there any words spoken along with it?
[ if she's to learn how to greet him in the manner he's used to, she might as well do so properly. words and all, if there are any. ]
no subject
But, still. It's a gentle enough kiss.]
No, not particularly. People simply greet each other, say hello. And where you are from? How do people greet each other?
no subject
[ since there's no verbal greeting to go with it then, she leans forward and gently places a kiss upon his cheek. ]
Well, hello then, I suppose. [ her eyes sparkle with good humor. ]
We say hello and sometimes shake hands.

Shaking hands is normal where I am from, as well, though a hug is suitable as well.

Most folk don't hug strangers where I'm from. It's something for friends, or family to express their affection.
[ but she's just kissed him! she can be a rebel and hug him. ]
