Couldn't go in to get it myself so I had to get it to come after me, so I lobbed a hail to anger it. The thing latched those tentacles around my ankle," which he had not been expecting at all, "It had a surprisingly strong grip, but I outsmarted it, of course. I grabbed it by the tentacle and dragged it from the acid; once it was helpless on the bank I liquidized to escape its hold and battered its exoskeleton open, then put a shatter through its puny brain to end it."
