[She barely has the patience for Abed's meta shenanigans in a place like this. Her voice stays sweet though.]

Abed, I know you love space movies, but I really think you shouldn't be so happy we're here. The Lord certainly didn't intend for me to be floating up in space like Darth Vader.

[She just chose the nearest reference she knew.]

[ shirley in space is off-script enough that abed is willing to drop the narration, at least temporarily. ]

I thought that was the whole plotline of the Rapture.

[ he's not really surprised that she's here, though: it wouldn't be his life without regular appearances by the rest of the study group. for the first time, he wonders if troy's here somewhere too. ]

Besides, Buzz Aldrin was a Presbyterian. He flew to the moon in 1969 and asked everyone to give thanks.

[Well. If a Presbyterian can do it.]

Maybe we can try finding a way home. Wouldn't you like to do that? That's happened in a movie.

[She's trying her best to keep calm and shepherd Abed down the right path.]

That depends. Which movie. Because I see us more as adorable animals in that scenario, and that's not the genre I'm going for here. I'm hoping for more psychological horror. How do you feel about questioning your religion in the face of the wonders of the universe but ultimately using it to empower you through life-or-death scenarios?
