Huh... There's a mistletoe right above you... That's weird, it's Decemb-- oh wait. December is the perfect time to get stuck under the mistletoe with someone. And look! There's a someone else stuck with you under there right now! And, of course, you both can't move until you kiss one another (Of course, not specifying where that kiss needs to happen).

Let's start off December with a little holiday cheer!

[He frowns, displeased at having this contest of stating the obvious.]

So what do you propose we do?

[It's a mild inconvenience at the moment, but if this paralysis lasts much longer, then AM will grow much more irritable.]

[John is focused on Kurt, now, intense, like always. Why can't he just be relaxed about anything?]

[ He whips back to face Merlin, which is a terrible idea, given they're standing quite close. ]

Believe me, Merlin, if I wanted to kiss you, you'd be kissed.

[ Because Arthur has always been so forthright and uncomplicated in matters of the heart. ]

[He tries to calm himself down but he just sort of ends up biting his lip and looking even more uptight than usual.]

[Russia restrains from snickering, but just barely.]

Well, yes. Don't know why it's doing this, [He gestures at them and the way they can't move.] but it's a tradition that you have to kiss when you meet under the mistletoe.

[John leans down and kisses Kurt on the mouth, softly enough to be sweet for one moment, then harder in another, and moves back, freed from the mistletoe]

[He blinkblinkblinks and cocks his head to the side for a second. This confusion seems to be a common trend with Heather, unfortunately. It's almost like a less annoying female Poland. Actually no that's dumb she's much better than Poland who was he kidding.

That said, she's sassy enough that he laughs, broad shoulders shaking a bit in mirth. But alright fine, you asked for it Heather. Russia reaches out, pauses a shoots her a look because hey he remembers the last time he touched her and he doesn't want a fist to the face now that he's sorta on her level--and cups her jaw in his hand, guides her up into a kiss.]

[ it tends to slip his mind sometimes, to be honest. the fact that AM and some others are actually artificial beings forced into human bodies. soysauce quickly gives a sheepish laugh, rubbing at the back of his neck. ]

Aah, yes, of course! I'm sorry, just making small talk, I suppose.

[ and there's a small wave of the hand before he makes to continue going his way -- until he walks into what feels like some sort of invisible wall that he thumps up against, stumbling back and falling to sit on the floor. staring around, looking incredibly confused. ]

[ well, two can play this game. it's certainly a little surprising that russia would take the gesture more towards intimacy than he anticipated, but soysauce bounces back from his surprise quickly enough. and that brush of russia's hand against his jaw is enough to make him grin slightly before leaning up to sling his arms over russia's shoulder, pulling himself just a little bit closer into that gesture. ]

[ that, of course, immediately makes soysauce give an obviously nervous laugh accompanied by a polite shake of the head, hands raised in a 'no thank you' gesture. ]

Aah, just commenting, sir! An observation. I wasn't harboring anything!

[ and as he backs off one, two paces away from the mistletoe, soysauce suddenly feels his footsteps halt -- like he's managed to back himself into some sort of invisible barrier. there's a distinct, confused pause as soysauce looks back, up at the mistletoe, then over at niall. ]

aw yeahahahahhhhh!!!!

[ soysauce, of course, is standing there just kind of staring up at the mistletoe curiously -- promptly looking over and beaming when he recognizes lor. ]

Good afternoon, sir! Just admiring the new decorations!

[ a chipper laugh as he points up at the mistletoe. ] I suppose someone decided to get a little festive?

Yeah, I do like.

[ A short smile, and he leans close, sliding a hand across his shoulder before tugging him in for that kiss. It's somewhere between chaste and open-mouthed, waiting to see how he'll respond. ]

[For all his worth, Russia hadn't expected those arms to wrap around his shoulders and so he stumbles forward with a huff of surprise. It's not enough to overtake his balance at the very least, but still his other hand comes up to steady him, splays against the clothed expanse of Soysauce's rib-cage.]

[Kurt makes the obligatory little squeaking sound, but relaxes right away, his eyes closing as he presses back and enjoys the kiss. He keeps it soft and gentle, tilting his head slightly to better fit their mouths together.]

[Oh wow. It's--well, it's like everything he'd imagined it would be. Not as soft and heartfelt as Blaine, not as sensual and insistent as Bells, and certainly not as forceful as Karofsky. Just... John. It's John's mouth, and it's unmistakable, and it breaks his heart into pieces.

His lashes flutter a bit when he pulls away, and he nods.]

I'm fine.

[And AM would have been content with the conversation ending there. Unfortunately, it didn't. Soysauce for some reason couldn't leave, so AM simply raised an eyebrow again, wondering what the hell had happened.

Then he attempted to move as well in order to see if they were somehow confined in an invisible box. And, he found he couldn't really move either. They were stuck.]

I'm aware of the mistletoe tradition. I was unaware that it seemed to trap people within some invisible forcefield.

[John nods, tugging away a moment later]

[Merlin tries to take a step back, almost loses his balance when he finds himself rooted in place.]

Not without my permission you wouldn't, you cad!

[He blinks at Arthur, outraged. And then clicks his tongue.]

Come on, let's get it over with.

[Oh yes hello. Because seriously, if you're gonna get trapped under some stupid enchanted plant and have to put the smooch on someone in order to get out you might as well do it properly. Go hard or go home, right?

So yes kissing and a hand on the back of his neck and her behaving herself and not biting his lip.

Not very hard, anyway.]

[His tail gives a friendly wave as he watches the two of them, because aaa cute he never gets over it. But in the next moment he's looking up and cocking his head to the side, wondering.]

Well it isn't cold, maybe it works? [He doesn't know if that's right but does it really matter.....]

[After he steps away, LB awkwardly fiddles with one of the cords hanging off of her suit, looking away again.]

It would have been nice -- hahaha -- but I guess it's still better than being transported to a nightmarish world.

[Actually, it was a whole lot better than that.]

[She stares at him for a few more moments, trying to discern if he was telling the truth or not, sighing dismissively afterwards.]

Then what the hell is going on?

Not really. There's nothing like this in my reality. At least from what I've seen.

[ Oh yeah. This is good. Bells doesn't mind letting Kurt decide on the pace, eyes open enough to watch his face. He closes them a second later, stepping in close to slide his arm around him, and when he breaks the kiss, he presses their foreheads together. ]

I think I might like this tradition thing. What about you?
